Irvine Robbins, founder of Baskin Robbins, died yesterday at the age of 90.

His son, the vegan activist John Robbins, has not issued a statement on his father’s death. Decades ago, John refused to be the heir of the Baskin Robbins fortune, believing that the dairy industry engages in inhumane and environmentally unsound practices. He wrote Diet For a New America, a vegan classic, and has gone on to publish many books on the subjects of environmentalism and veganism. So, the question is, W.W.J.R.D.?
